A completely unexpected situation happened in Japan (like many others we publish on Japão Estranho) and quickly caught attention on social media and local news websites. A 54-year-old woman was arrested after invading the house of a man she did not know just to slap him in the face. The incident happened in the city of Kagoshima during the final day of the Golden Week holiday.

The episode happened around 6:10 a.m., when a 29-year-old man who lives alone in Kagoshima noticed the presence of an unknown woman inside his home. According to the victim’s report, the intruder entered the property without warning and shortly afterward slapped him in the face.

Shocked by the situation, the man contacted Japanese police through the emergency number 110. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the woman still inside his house. During the initial questioning, she confirmed the assault and admitted that she had slapped him.

Although the attack did not cause serious injuries or require medical treatment, the woman was arrested on assault charges. So far, authorities are still investigating what motivated the suspect to invade the residence and commit the act.

Another curious detail about the case is that there was no attempt at theft or robbery. Everything indicates that the woman entered the house exclusively to assault him. Police are also trying to determine how she managed to access the residence without any apparent signs of forced entry.

Cases like this draw attention because Japan is globally known for its low crime rates. Even so, bizarre and unexpected situations still happen in the country. In some Japanese regions, residents usually leave their doors unlocked because they believe they live in safe neighborhoods, which may have been the case here.

For now, authorities believe the two did not know each other and had no relationship, but future investigations may reveal more details.
