Former Idol Subaru Shimada Is Preparing for Her JAV Debut

Japanese woman Subaru Shimada, 24, is about to begin a new professional chapter in Japan’s adult video industry, commonly known as JAV. A former member of an idol group, she was reportedly dismissed at 18 and, according to accounts of her past, went through a period of homelessness before deciding to pursue a career in entertainment again.

Now, Shimada has confirmed that preparations for her debut are moving forward. In a statement, she revealed the filming dates, announced that her participation contract had been finalized, and shared how she feels as the big moment approaches.

The most surprising part? Even though filming is just around the corner, Shimada admits that she still can’t quite believe this is really happening!

Despite the approaching filming dates, the former idol explained that her daily routine hasn’t felt any different. She expected reaching the one-month mark before her debut to make her feel something special, but everything continued as usual.

Shimada also said that she still wakes up, eats, and goes about her day normally. Even with the dates already set, her debut still feels like something far away.

Former Idol Visits an AV Studio but Still Can’t Picture Her Debut

Another detail Subaru Shimada shared was her visit to an AV filming studio. The experience gave her the opportunity to learn more about the environment where she’ll be working, but it still hasn’t helped her picture herself actually performing in front of the cameras.

She explained that she learned a lot during the visit, although she still can’t imagine what it will be like once filming actually begins. She even recorded a video showing her visit to the studio:

For now, her main priority is taking care of her health and physical condition so she can be ready for the three days of filming.

Even with her contract finalized and the dates set, Shimada says she still hasn’t had that feeling that her debut is truly approaching.

“Just Because It Doesn’t Feel Real Doesn’t Mean I’m Not Taking It Seriously”

If the former idol still doesn’t feel like her debut is close, that doesn’t mean she’s treating the situation casually. On the contrary, she made a point of explaining in her statement that her determination has remained unchanged since the day she applied on her own initiative.

Here’s the closing part of her statement:

“Maybe the day will arrive in a month and it still won’t have fully sunk in. However, the fact that it doesn’t feel real doesn’t mean I’m not taking this seriously.

I’ve been determined to see this through ever since I applied of my own accord. I’ll do everything I can during those three days.”

Her words offer a glimpse into how Subaru Shimada views this new professional chapter. Even though she can’t fully picture the experience yet, she says she’s committed to fulfilling her responsibilities and giving it her best during filming.
