VTuber Reveals She Failed 19 Auditions for Major Agencies
Hinata Sharu failed 19 VTuber auditions before deciding to stop trying to join an agency and start her career as an independent VTuber.
Her story caught attention on social media after Hinata Sharu herself revealed the staggering number of rejections she received from some of Japan’s biggest VTuber agencies.
Hinata Sharu Failed 19 Auditions
According to the VTuber, she applied to several well-known agencies but was rejected in all 19 auditions.
The list includes:
- Hololive: 6 rejections
- Nijisanji: 4 rejections
- VSPO!: 3 rejections
- Neo-Porte: 2 rejections
- Aogiri High School: 2 rejections
- Shinso-gumi: 1 rejection
- Uo Musume: 1 rejection
After so many unsuccessful attempts, Hinata Sharu decided to stop trying to join an agency and pursue her own path as an independent VTuber.
Despite all the rejections, the decision seems to have worked out well for her. In her post, Hinata Sharu revealed that she is currently having a lot of fun working as an independent VTuber.
Her financial situation, however, is far from comfortable. The VTuber stated that she only completed middle school, is unemployed, and had just 548 yen in her possession at the time of the post.
Even so, she made it clear that she is enjoying her new life as a VTuber.
However, it is not as if Hinata Sharu had never been part of an agency before. According to her Twitter bio, she has previously been a corporate VTuber three times, but eventually ended those activities and now works independently.
Her bio also reveals that she dropped out of school twice and claims to have been fired more than six times throughout her career.
