VTuber asks fans not to create R18 fan art of her, people start making R18 fan art of her

A controversy in the Western VTuber community happened this weekend. VTuber Deme made a post that reached nearly 7 million views, saying she feels uncomfortable with R18 fan art of herself.

Deme posted the following tweet:

This tweet ended up getting responses Deme did not expect, as most people called her a hypocrite, since she often shares ecchi fan art of herself and there were clips from her streams that suggested adult implications.

And the comment above actually turned out to be a prediction. I have a Twitter list with adult artists, and I only found out about this drama because a lot of adult fan art of this VTuber started appearing on my timeline.

Like all VTubers, Deme has a fan art hashtag, #Demeart, and if you check it now, you will ONLY see adult fan art of her…

If you check her hashtag, you will see even more, and many comments calling her a hypocrite.
