The convenience store chain Lawson has announced its first VTuber, Shirahoshi Mizuki, drawing attention from both anime fans and the VTuber community in Japan. The new VTuber will make her debut on June 13 and features a character design by renowned illustrator Fujima Takuya.

Although she is linked to the Lawson group, the character will not directly represent the company’s convenience stores. Instead, she will be part of the VTuber division of the professional esports team LawsonTicketXone.

Unlike other corporate initiatives, Shirahoshi Mizuki is associated with LawsonTicketXone, an esports team supported by Lawson Entertainment. Because of this, her content is expected to focus heavily on competitive gaming, events, and gamer-related entertainment.

Another highlight of the announcement is the involvement of Fujima Takuya in the project. The artist is known for his work on titles such as Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid and Negima!? neo, as well as illustrations for light novels and various trading card games.

Her debut stream is scheduled for the evening of June 13. We will see whether she becomes a success, given how many VTubers currently exist in the market, as Shirahoshi Mizuki launches her channel.
