Meccha Chameleon Has a Weird Switch 2 Problem: A Hentai Game Appears First in Search

Nintendo announced during the September 2026 Nintendo Direct that the popular game Meccha Chameleon has arrived on the Nintendo Switch 2.
The idea behind the game is pretty simple: you use your illustrator skills to draw yourself into the environment and camouflage yourself, all while trying not to get caught.
And honestly, it sounds like one of those games made for the Nintendo Switch 2, especially since it takes advantage of the console’s touchscreen.
There’s just one small problem.
When you search for Meccha Chameleon on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop, the first version that shows up isn’t the actual game.
It’s a game called Hentai Chameleon.
Unwary Players Are Buying the Wrong Version of Meccha Chameleon
When you open the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop and search for Meccha Chameleon, you’d expect the actual drawing-and-camouflage game to show up first.
But nope.
According to player reports, the first search result is apparently a game trying to capitalize on the name and popularity of Meccha Chameleon, called Hentai Chameleon:

And what exactly is this Hentai Chameleon, you might be wondering?
Well… some players apparently ended up buying the game by mistake and shared screenshots online to complain about the situation.

One of them even complained that “if you’re going to buy it by mistake, at least the game should’ve been decent.”
So, What Exactly Is Hentai Chameleon?
To be completely honest, I have no idea what this game is actually about.
From the shared screenshots, it looks like you paint over or interact with images of women who appear to have been AI-generated. I was genuinely confused and have absolutely no idea what the actual premise of the game is.

And that’s where things get really bizarre: you search for one specific game by name, and the first thing that comes up is a completely different title.
According to some reports, Hentai Chameleon appears first when players search for Meccha Chameleon on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop.
I have no idea whether Nintendo has already fixed the issue, but I actually remember watching a streamer just last week complaining that the Switch 2 eShop has way too many games with “hentai something” in the title.
