It has been announced that the adult visual novel Isaku will receive a remake releasing in December this year. Called Isaku Remake, the new game will be released for Windows and will feature completely redrawn Full HD graphics, a modernized interface, new character sprites, and CGs redesigned by the original artist, Metawo Ueda.

The original game was released for the PC-9801 in 1995 and became known for combining adventure, puzzles, and escape elements in a school setting.

Isaku

In the story, Kenta Kogure receives a love letter summoning him to the top floor of his school’s old wing. Upon arrival, he discovers that others have been lured to the same location.

When they attempt to leave the building, they realize all exits have been blocked. The person behind the situation is Isaku Isato, the school janitor, who initiates a hunt; as the player, you must escape the building while preventing any of the girls from falling into his clutches—avoiding the adult scenes equates to victory here.

Gameplay in *Isaku Remake* will remain focused on exploring the building, solving puzzles, and searching for keys to unlock new areas. Decisions made during conversations with other characters can also influence their fates.

*Isaku Remake* will feature redone graphics and additional content.

One of the remake’s main highlights is the visual overhaul. Character sprites and CGs are being redrawn by Metawo Ueda, the artist responsible for the original game’s artwork.

The new version will also support Full HD resolution, feature a completely revamped interface, and include additional scenes aimed at an adult audience. Take a look at the visuals for *Isaku Remake*:

The *Isaku* remake is scheduled for release on Windows on December 25 and will support only the Japanese language.

Physical and digital deluxe editions will also include a Windows 11-compatible version of the original 1995 game, allowing fans to access both versions. I had never heard of this game before, but I found it interesting; I saw people saying the premise is precisely to avoid seeing the adult scenes—since they involve Isaku abusing the girls—and that the goal is to escape the school with everyone safe.
