Real-Life Ai Hoshino? Yura Hoshino Has a Son Kept Secret
Real-life Ai Hoshino? If you watched Oshi no Ko, you know very well that idol Ai ended up having two children and kept them a secret. Well, something quite similar happened in real life with idol Yura Hoshino (even their names are similar).
Here’s what happened: a new idol group was formed by the agency Koiiro Signal, and one of the idols making her debut was Yura Hoshino. However, the Deathdol Note account leaked personal photos of Yura Hoshino with her son, a child who is only 1 year old.
Deathdol Note is a Twitter account run by a group of people who leak the personal lives of various idols they consider “problematic.” They were also responsible for leaking a video of another idol some time ago in which she was drinking and taking off her clothes with men.
After the account revealed that Yura Hoshino had a son in her personal life, her agency released a statement. In the announcement, the agency confirmed that it already knew Yura had a child before she began her activities with the group and that she was hired with full knowledge of this fact.
She is single (not married) and does not currently have a romantic partner. She also maintains a cooperative relationship with the child’s father, strictly focused on raising and supporting their son.
The agency’s management stated that the idol’s activity plans will not change because of the revelation and asked fans to respect her privacy by avoiding defamation, speculation, or leaking personal information on social media.
After the statement was released, the idol herself posted a photo of her with her son with the caption: “Here is the private life everyone wanted to know about.”
I took a look at the reactions, and there was a bit of everything. There were sensible and mature people saying that her mother and, most importantly, the child should not be exposed, while also pointing out that everyone is an adult and capable of understanding the situation.
But there were also people who complained, saying that the company knew she had a child and still decided to sell her image as an idol in order to deceive everyone. Anyway, there were all kinds of reactions.
It is obviously impossible not to connect this case to the anime Oshi no Ko. Just goes to show that not every anime is quite as far from reality as you might think.
