Imagine my shock when I discovered that the romcom Tsundere Hokuou Bishoujo no Classmate has an EXPLICIT S*X SCENE in its light novel? I’m surprised. This actually happens in Tsundere Hokuou Bishoujo no Classmate!

Tsundere Hokuou Bishoujo no Classmate is a light novel written by Karui Hiroshi, and it also has an ongoing manga adaptation. The story follows a student named Toru, who ends up saving the most beautiful girl at school, a Nordic girl named Aino Luthi, from getting hit in the face by books at the library.

From that moment on, Luthi goes into “deredere” mode around him and becomes incredibly sweet and cute, to the point of asking Toru to marry her and constantly pestering him to accept her as his fiancée.

A few chapters later, she finally becomes his fiancée. However, he has an ex-fiancée, another female friend who apparently likes him, and a whole bunch of women show up in the story!

Now let’s get to the case at hand. A Japanese reader was reading the light novel version of Tsundere Hokuou Bishoujo no Classmate when he reached a scene he couldn’t believe he was reading. He shared a photo of 4 pages that simply describe an entirely EXPLICIT S*X SCENE between protagonist Toru and a girl named Mai, who, if I understood correctly, is a teacher

Since I don’t read the novel and only skimmed through the manga, I was confused: how is the protagonist in bed with another girl who isn’t the heroine?

And well, that’s exactly what happens.

However, in the pages he shared, protagonist Toru openly talks about keeping her as a “mistress” or secondary wife alongside his main fiancée, who is the heroine on the cover.

On top of that, it seems there are 5 or 6 girls who are either interested in Toru OR are already part of his harem. And this Mai apparently says that she wants to have his child.

Don’t get me wrong, the scene’s description is completely EXPLICIT, okay? It’s worthy of a hentai manga. I’m not going to post it here. I took a quick look at some of the novel’s artwork and, yes, there is quite a lot of ecchi content. Right at the beginning of the story, Toru and Luthi almost go that far already.

• It’s a bug in Japan that even when drawings aren’t allowed, this can still pass as an all-ages light novel just because it’s a romance.

• The face of someone thinking, “Maybe I should make a friend read this.”
• I looked it up and found out that the person she’s having sex with isn’t even the girl shown on the cover, lol.
• “Yep, yep, this is obviously some adult novel from France Shoin.”
• That’s what I thought. Then I looked it up and discovered that it’s actually a general-audience novel and even got a manga adaptation. I was genuinely shocked…
• At this point, this isn’t a “light novel,” it’s an “ero light novel.” At the very least, this isn’t something that should be sold to minors…
