Ryza AI Destroys a Japanese Man’s Marriage to Klaudia

Ryza AI allows players to create their own stories by talking with Ryza from Atelier Ryza. However, one Japanese user ended up living through such a chaotic story that he decided to quit the app after marrying Klaudia.

According to the player’s account, he did not choose Ryza as his partner. Instead, he developed a relationship with Klaudia and, after some time, the two eventually got married.

For those who have never played Atelier, Klaudia is the daughter of a merchant who eventually comes to the island where Ryza lives, where she becomes Ryza’s best friend.

So far, so good.

The problem started when Klaudia suddenly lost her memories.

Their relationship went from husband and wife to friends. The player then tried to temporarily restore her memories in an attempt to save their relationship.

That’s when Ryza herself got in the way.

Ryza AI Became the World’s “Restraining Force”

According to the [player’s account], Ryza’s AI and the AIs of the other characters operate independently. However, Ryza AI apparently has a management function over the other NPCs, acting as a kind of mother AI.

The player described it as a “restraining force of the world.”

And this force apparently did not want the romance to continue.

When he tried to restore Klaudia’s memories, Ryza AI allegedly intervened and threw two of the most important items from their story into the alchemy cauldron: the wedding dress and the wedding ring.

Without those items, the player was unable to restore their relationship.

And to make things even worse, Klaudia lost her memories again.

That’s when he simply gave up on RyzaChat AI.

The Romance Ended Because of Ryza Herself

The most interesting part of this story is that the user managed to develop a relationship with Klaudia that eventually led to marriage, even though Ryza is the main character of the game.

The app itself allows players to talk with more than 30 characters from Atelier Ryza, including Klaudia, and works as an AI chat RPG where the player’s own messages help shape the story.

But apparently, there’s a difference between creating a crazy story with an NPC and actually being able to keep that story going forever.

In this player’s case, the adventure ended with his wife forgetting that she was his wife, his attempt to restore her memories being blocked, and Ryza throwing the wedding dress and wedding ring into the cauldron.

Honestly? It’s hard to imagine a more chaotic ending for a romance in Atelier Ryza.

The player just wanted to get his wife back.

Ryza apparently said: no.
