Anunciaram um Ai Chat RPG de Atelier Ryza com a Promessas de Não usar Artes Geradas por IA

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Gust decided to release an Atelier Ryza 4, because after two ASMR projects (one featuring Ryza and another featuring Klaudia), SpiralAI announced the Atelier Ryza AI Chat RPG in partnership with Gust, the Koei Tecmo studio behind the series.

The project, titled RyzaChat: Your Midsummer Dream Story with AI Ryza, will launch this month and pre-registrations are already available. The announcement is part of the partnership between Koei Tecmo and the Japanese artificial intelligence company SpiralAI.

In RyzaChat, players will return to Kurken Island, the setting of the first Atelier Ryza game, but progression will mainly happen through conversations with an artificial intelligence based on the character Ryza.

The first objective of the game will be helping Ryza build a boat to leave the island. After completing this step, the rest of the world map will be unlocked, allowing players to explore different areas, gather materials, battle enemies, perform synthesis, and create new items alongside characters from the original trilogy.

Unlike traditional games in the franchise, RyzaChat will not have a completely fixed storyline. The idea is for each player to create their own adventure through interactions with the AI, which can generate new quests as conversations progress.

Besides the RPG Mode, where missions are developed, the game will also feature a free conversation mode, allowing players to have one-on-one chats with Ryza. The character will display different facial expressions and movements while responding to messages, making interactions feel more natural.

The system will also track traditional RPG elements such as inventory, stamina, and in-game currency. For example, materials collected during exploration will automatically be added to the inventory, while Ryza can help players by explaining what resources are needed to create new items.

RyzaChat promises not to use AI-generated art

Alongside the announcement of the Atelier Ryza AI Chat RPG, SpiralAI highlighted several measures to avoid controversy regarding AI-generated content. According to the developer, all illustrations, character images, promotional videos, and key visuals were created by human artists under the supervision of Toridamono, the original illustrator of Atelier Ryza.

The company reinforced that the game will not use AI-generated images or videos, preserving the visual identity of the franchise created by human artists.

Ryza’s synthetic voice will be based on recordings made by original voice actress Yuri Noguchi, using SpiralAI’s “Kotodama” voice synthesis model. The dialogues will be generated by the “SpiralLLM” system, an AI trained with franchise materials and legally authorized data.

Gust also supervised the game’s world, characters, and setting to ensure RyzaChat remains faithful to the original series. In addition, SpiralAI promises to share part of the revenue with illustrators, voice actors, and intellectual property holders through royalties.
