Japanese AV Actress Meguri Reveals Secret 10-Year Marriage Ended Over Infertility Dispute
Japanese AV actress Meguri has revealed surprising details about a marriage she kept secret for around 10 years. According to the actress, the relationship eventually fell apart after her ex-husband refused to cooperate with fertility treatments, even though they had been trying to fulfill their dream of having a child.
The revelation came in an interview published by Japanese magazine Nikkan Spa! on October 23, 2026. During the interview, Meguri also explained how pressure from her former husband influenced her temporary retirement from the adult entertainment industry in 2017.
Meguri Reveals Why Her Secret Marriage Ended
According to Meguri, her relationship with the man she would eventually marry took a new turn in 2013, when they began living together. Although she kept their marriage away from the public eye, the actress finally opened up about her personal life in a YouTube video posted in June 2026.
One of the most painful parts of the story involves her decision to temporarily walk away from her career. Meguri, who became an exclusive adult video actress in 2009, said her husband claimed to support her work but pressured her to leave the industry in practice.
She eventually gave in to his wishes and announced her retirement in 2017, even though she wasn’t ready to quit.
“I respected his wishes and retired, but I cried so much during my final shoot,” Meguri said. She also explained that she had to keep the real reason for her decision hidden because she couldn’t publicly reveal that she was married.
The situation became even more painful when the actress realized she had given up an important part of her career in the hope of building a family with her husband.
Male Infertility Became the Couple’s Biggest Point of Conflict
After Meguri retired, the couple began trying to have a child. However, after four months of unsuccessful fertility treatments, medical tests revealed that her husband had male infertility.
According to Meguri, the problem wasn’t just the diagnosis itself, but also her husband’s unwillingness to face the situation alongside her.
The actress said she suggested that he change his lifestyle habits and continue pursuing medical options, but he refused. He also declined further treatment and rejected the possibility of in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Frustrated by the situation, Meguri decided to return to the adult entertainment industry in 2019. Her marriage ultimately didn’t survive, and their divorce was finalized at the end of 2023.
Meguri Froze Her Eggs and Is Considering Becoming a Mother Without a Partner
Now 37, Meguri remains determined to fulfill her dream of becoming a mother, even if she has to take a different path than the one she envisioned during her marriage.
In 2020, the actress froze her eggs. She is now consulting fertility clinics about potentially using an international sperm bank to create embryos through assisted reproduction.
Meguri explained that she is considering having a child even if she doesn’t find a new partner. If she does enter another relationship, her desire to become a mother soon will be an important factor in deciding whether they’re compatible.
Meguri Wants to Stay in the Adult Entertainment Industry Until 65
As for her career, the actress has no plans to retire anytime soon. Meguri said she hopes to continue working in the adult entertainment industry until she turns 65.
She also joked that if she manages to get pregnant next year, she might surprise viewers by sneaking into videos as an unnamed pregnant extra.
“I want to live my life my way, without regrets,” she said.
