Drunken Rogue RPG

We have a new dungeon-crawling roguelike RPG that caught attention thanks to its unusual mechanic: the heroines become stronger as they get drunker. Developed by indie studio 2.6 Billion Years Studio and published by Waku Waku Games, Drunken Rogue will launch for PC via Steam on August 21.

In Drunken Rogue, players follow the adventure of Lita, a rogue who ventures into dangerous dungeons heading toward the Vampire King’s Castle in search of a rare wine collection hidden by Endo, the Vampire of Demise.

Throughout the journey, players will face various enemies, traps, and dangerous environments while Lita searches for the precious treasure. In addition, Endo can also be unlocked as a playable character, offering a different gameplay style.

To survive the challenges, each character has unique abilities. Lita can escape dangerous situations using her Wind Cloak, while Endo can transform into mist and use powerful magic spells.

However, avoiding danger does not mean it disappears. Every obstacle that is avoided will become stronger on the next floor of the dungeon, making exploration increasingly challenging.

The main mechanic of Drunken Rogue is its intoxication system. As the girls become drunk, their powers increase, allowing them to fight stronger enemies. In Endo’s case, her drunken state comes from drinking blood instead of alcohol.

However, getting drunk also has consequences. The higher their intoxication level becomes, the harder it is for the characters to tell reality from imagination, causing them to experience hallucinations during their adventure.

Even Lita’s loyal dog, Odysseus, may end up appearing as a terrifying creature due to the distorted perception caused by drinking.
