Artist 2na Was Attacked for Drawing Hetero Ships of Wuthering Waves

An artist known as 2na spoke out on her Twitter account after attempts were made to push her off the internet because she draws heterosexual ships from the game Wuthering Waves.
If you visit 2na’s profile, you will see that she used to draw fanarts of the ship Rover x Phoebe and later began drawing fanarts of the ship Rover x Aemeth.
As a note, Rover is the protagonist of Wuthering Waves, but you can choose the character’s gender, meaning Rover can be male or female. In 2na’s case, she drew male Rover with both characters, which sparked anger from some people.

She explained that she stepped away for a few days and was not aware of how far her post had spread, apologizing if it caused any issues for other artists. She also emphasized that she does not want anyone to attack other creators because of this situation.
Regarding the “ship” controversy, she says she really likes the character Aemeth and enjoys drawing her with Rover, just like many artists draw their favorite characters with the main protagonist. She explains that she does not see sense in pairing her with other characters and understands that some people may find it strange, but asks for understanding and respect, without trying to over-justify herself.
In the end, she thanks everyone for the supportive messages, including fans from other countries who used translation tools to communicate, saying she no longer feels alone. She also mentions that she now has a verification badge and will be posting again soon.

According to some comments I saw that explained the context better, in certain Discord servers there are people who do not like 2na drawing heterosexual ships from Wuthering Waves, preferring Yuri ships (female x female), and because of this some people allegedly tried to get her banned from websites and social media.
For example, in October 2025, 2na complained that her fanarts were constantly being reported on Twitter, leading her to ask people who did not like her ships to simply block her account.
As you may have seen, her post reached over 170,000 views and gathered almost 400 comments from people supporting her.
I have also seen other artists being harassed for drawing male x female ships, with people pressuring them to only draw Yuri ships. What is happening?
