You probably didn’t know this, but it’s actually pretty common for Japanese adult platforms like Fanza to run promotions where products are sold for just 10 yen. That means you can sometimes pick up JAVs, ASMRs, and other digital content for basically nothing.

And recently, another one of these promotions happened, with several digital products going for just 10 yen — and that’s when people discovered a seriously bizarre ASMR!

What Looked Like Just Another Cliché Romance

A Japanese user went viral after sharing an ASMR produced by the group Roric or Rorikko Musume. The full title alone already reveals just how unusual the premise is:

「四十九日えっち。~僕がころしたおねえちゃんと未練解消中出し除霊~」

(Loose translation: “Seggs on the 49th Day: Exorcising My Regrets with the Older Girl I Killed”)

If that title already made you think, “Wait… what is this about?”, just wait.

The official ASMR synopsis starts out like a classic childhood-friend story, complete with the familiar image of a beloved older girl.

“You had an older childhood friend named Shijūkunichi Yuu. Kind, strong, and dependable, she was your beloved ‘onee-chan.’ But she is no longer here… She died before she could become an adult. No… don’t use distant words like ‘she died.’ It was you… I was the one who killed my big sis.”

ASMR de morte da irma 2

If you didn’t catch it, the story is about someone who had an older childhood friend whom he called “onee-chan.” She wasn’t his sister — she was his friend.

Consumed by guilt over causing the death of the person he loved most, the protagonist lives in isolation. That’s when the girl’s ghost suddenly appears before him, looking exactly as she did on the day of the accident, beginning a journey in which he must confront his own sin and try to help her find peace.

The Official Warning to Listeners: “Be Prepared”

The work’s own page features a yellow-and-black warning screen emphasizing that the content contains extremely shocking scenes and is not recommended for people with heart or psychological conditions.

The warning tells listeners to continue only if they are emotionally prepared for two things:

  1. Being prepared to witness the exact moment the person they love dies.
  2. Being prepared to hear that person’s mother spit the following words at them: “You should have been the one to die.”

The Devastating Twist in the Track List

The project’s track list shows how an ordinary routine suddenly turns into a nightmare:

  • Track 00: Prologue: The Person Who Called Me Nacchan
  • Track 01: I’m Here, Nacchan
  • Tracks 02 and 03: Tender and romantic moments with the girl

The Cultural Context: What the 49 Days Mean in Buddhism

The title of the work directly references the traditional Buddhist ritual known as Shijūkunichi, literally meaning “49 days.”

In Japanese Buddhism, the period of up to 49 days after death is traditionally associated with Chūin, an intermediate state between death and the next rebirth. During this period, rituals and ceremonies are traditionally held every seven days, while different Buddhist traditions describe judgments related to the deceased person’s fate and their next existence.

The 49th day marks the end of this period and is known as Manchūin (満中陰), traditionally regarded as the point when the deceased moves on to their next destination. The date also marks an important ceremony for the family, commonly known simply as Shijūkunichi.

In the work, the 49 days serve as a countdown for the protagonist to confront his trauma, grief, and rejection from the victim’s family before her spirit disappears for good.

Anyway… wow.
