Twins Decide to Debut TOGETHER in AV and Appear in the Same Film
The AV industry still carries various stigmas, but in recent years the sector has undergone changes following the implementation of the so-called new AV law, a Japanese law created to prevent harm related to participation in adult productions. In this context, two sisters caught attention after revealing their story.
The sisters Shikishima Mio and Shikishima Nagisa, both 34 years old, began their careers as adult actresses in January, appearing together in the same film. The detail that caught the public’s attention the most is that they are real twins and have spent practically their entire lives doing everything together.
During an interview, the two revealed that since childhood they were treated equally by their parents, who bought the same clothes and toys for both of them.
“When we look at old photos, sometimes we don’t even know which one of us appears in the picture,” Nagisa commented.
Their resemblance was so strong that even at school curious situations happened. The two studied together throughout elementary school, middle school, and high school, and often ended up in the same class.
Mio said that they even made the same mistakes on exams.
“We got the same math problems wrong and even made mistakes with the same kanji details. The teachers used to joke about it,” one of the two said.
In addition, they experienced strangely similar accidents. On one occasion, Mio injured her right elbow during physical education class, while Nagisa injured her left elbow at another point on the same day.
The twins’ decision to enter AV
Although they had always been very close, the two experienced different moments during their youth. At university, they lived separately for the first time and began noticing their differences.
Mio had a relationship, while Nagisa said she had difficulty finding someone because she was very demanding.
After college, the two started working together again. They performed in theater shows and also worked at a pachinko parlor to support their lives.
According to them, working together again brought a sense of security, as one always supported the other during difficult moments. It was during this period that Mio began thinking about entering the adult industry.
She explained that around the age of 31, she was going through a phase where her daily life felt uneventful. After researching topics related to the sensual world, she ended up learning more about the work of adult actresses.
At first, Nagisa felt insecure about the idea. She explained that she had little romantic experience and imagined that the filming environment could be frightening.
“I imagined the set, the cameras, and the people there, and the more I imagined it, the more I thought it would be impossible to be naked in front of other people,” she revealed.
Even so, Mio continued talking with her sister about the possibility for about two years.

Over time, Nagisa began changing her perspective after following other adult actresses on social media. She realized that many of them had their own goals and viewed the work as a personal choice. Since she already had experience performing in theater and enjoyed expressing herself in front of an audience, she decided to accept the challenge.
Mio said that the first filming lasted about three days and that, despite her initial nervousness, it ended up being a better experience than she expected.
She also revealed that she received many positive comments after the production was released. Nagisa said that despite her previous concerns, she was happy with the decision she made.
The two also said that their families and friends probably do not know about their new careers, but they believe that eventually they will have to tell them.
“I know that one day they will find out. But our parents always told us to do what we love and live without regrets, so I believe they will support us,” Nagisa commented.
Now, the sisters plan to continue working together and hope to gain recognition in the industry.
Nagisa also revealed that she would like to win awards, appear on television programs, and even participate in a production with adult actors who are also twins.
“We will continue doing our best together,” the two said.
