Adult Mangaka Hired Busty Cosplayer to Prove They Exist? Unfortunately, the Story Is False

If you didn’t hear about it, a story went viral on Twitter claiming that the hentai mangaka Kinntarou, while wanting to create a manga featuring a 2.11-meter-tall woman in 2024, hired a tall cosplayer to take photos of her so his manga would be more realistic, since people supposedly doubted that women with such large breasts existed, and he had therefore “humiliated the critics.”

And since the post reached 3 million views and spread to Japanese internet communities, Kinntarou started receiving many new followers. He then looked into what was happening and learned about the story, but his reaction made it seem like the viral tweet was false.

Because Kinntarou’s reaction was:

“Somehow, a story I don’t even understand was created!?”

So I became curious and started looking through more of Kinntarou’s replies. Don’t misunderstand, he is taking advantage of the viral attention and even promoted the hentai manga that was mentioned, but when interacting with his Japanese fans, he showed that he did not understand where this story came from.

So I searched for the original cosplayer and found her profile. She is a Japanese cosplayer named Mochi-chan with 123 thousand followers, and I discovered the following.

The first time Kinntarou published the artwork of the 2-meter-tall girl was on January 11, and many people loved the character.

Meanwhile, cosplayer Mochi-chan published her first photo as the character 10 days later, while looking for a man who wanted to play the role of her shorter partner.

Kinntarou and Mochi-chan interacted on that tweet, with him showing that he was very excited to see the result of her cosplay. I also found a tweet from Mochi-chan saying that she only later met Kinntarou, and that he was the one who took the photo from underneath her breasts.

Looking at the author’s tweets, I saw that Japanese fans joined in on the joke, saying that Kinntarou was someone who “knew nothing” about the very story that was going viral about him. He responded by calling himself “poor Kinntarou” and continued joking about the situation, ironically saying that he was a very conscious artist and even a “warrior of artistic expression.”

When another fan commented that he had become a celebrity, Kinntarou continued the joke by saying that he was becoming a true warrior of art. In another reply, he said that he no longer even understood what was happening.

And what about the story about silencing the critics?

Apparently, that part was completely invented. Yes, the hentai mangaka did collaborate with the cosplayer and they interacted a lot on Twitter, but the reason being to “silence critics who said women like this did not exist” appears to be completely made up.

Which is normal coming from this page, which simply DOES NOT LINK sources and steals content without researching. And do you know WHAT I DID? I sent an email to Kinntarou, and he replied to me!

Here is his response:

“Yes, I took the photos, as you mentioned. However, I did not do that to respond to criticism or to prove that the character was possible. I believe that manga and anime can have representations that do not exist in reality, so I do not think there is any need to refute this type of criticism.”

Above is the screenshot of the reply email he sent me, and yes, it is his official email. There you have it, the false story has been cleared up.
