VTuber Essie Continues Her World Cup Curse as Another Team Gets Eliminated

The World Cup has introduced us to a new interesting character: a small VTuber named Essie, who started going viral after publicly cheering for certain national teams during the World Cup knockout stage… only for those teams to lose shortly after.

It all started when she announced that she was supporting Brazil against Norway:

Then she announced that she was cheering for Mexico, saying this:

“My friendship with Brazil is over. LET’S GO MEXICO.”

Mexico ended up losing to England:

After that, she announced her support for Portugal, saying:

“It’s okay, Portugal will do it. LET’S GO PORTUGAL.”

No joke, after that she made a Tweet announcing that she was cheering for the United States national team, since that’s where she’s from!

Then, earlier today, before the Argentina vs. Egypt match, she announced that she would be supporting Argentina:

But do you know what happened? Essie decided to be honest. She actually just wanted to jinx Argentina. Her real support was for Egypt, and she made this post:

“I don’t want to curse Egypt, but I want them to win. Please, Egypt. My pure heart will reverse the curse!”

Argentina scored THREE GOALS and eliminated Egypt… and Essie’s curse lives on…
