Adult Artist Yapo Dropped Mushoku Tensei Because Rudeus Is Disgusting

The hentai artist Yapo became a topic of discussion after openly criticizing the anime Mushoku Tensei on his Twitter profile, more specifically the protagonist Rudeus. He stated that the character is “disgusting” and that he was only able to watch the anime until the second season.
The tweet that started the entire discussion and revealed that Yapo dropped Mushoku Tensei was:
“I watched Mushoku Tensei until the second season, but Rudeus is so disgusting that I ended up thinking: ‘I never want to watch this again.’ I simply can’t follow a work when the protagonist is so repulsive.”

It is completely natural to criticize something if you watch it and don’t like it. That is perfectly normal. Mushoku Tensei, by portraying sex as something natural within its universe, really ends up pushing away some people who criticize the protagonist Rudeus because of his perverted behavior.
However, there is something curious about this situation: Yapo is a hentai artist… and of lolis and shotas! This ended up confusing some people. And there’s more: Yapo started arguing with some Japanese users about his opinion.
Someone replied to the artist: “Is it aversion toward your own species?” The person meant that Yapo DRAWS adult manga. So, below is his response:
“Of course not. Don’t compare me to that trash who can’t love a single woman and simply goes to bed with any woman who happens to appear nearby. Idiot. Get out of here.”
So does Yapo have a problem with Mushoku Tensei because Rudeus has more than one wife? Is that it? Did he not like Roxy becoming part of the family?

Another otaku commented:
“Between the protagonist of Mushoku Tensei and a shota doing crossdressing, which one do you think is more disgusting!? The protagonist of Mushoku Tensei is definitely disgusting too, but isn’t a man dressed as a woman also disgusting!?
Is someone who draws disgusting characters really saying they can’t stand a disgusting character from another work!?”
Yapo only replied:
“Without a doubt, you are the most disgusting of them all.”

Anyway, Yapo is still replying to other people until now. In fact, while I was writing this post, he replied to more users. So, let’s see how other Japanese people reacted?
- “If it weren’t for the sexual jokes, maybe it wouldn’t have managed to rank first overall among Narou.”
- “The protagonist is simply too disgusting. How can anyone identify with him?”
- “What the hell is this? Are you praising such a disgusting work?”
- “Because deep down, he is an old man.”
- “I have no problem with the sexual jokes, but I think the multiple marriage should have remained only with Sylphy and Eris.”
- “With two people, probably nobody would call it a harem.”
- “Adding Roxy as a wife also feels kind of disgusting to me. I think it would have been better to leave her only as his master.”
- “If you remove the sexual jokes from Mushoku Tensei, there is nothing left.”
- “But if you remove the erotic elements from Mushoku Tensei, doesn’t it lose exactly what makes it good?”
- “The raw realism is precisely what makes it good. And the protagonist is not invincible either.”
- “I stopped watching after around 2 episodes. I could already predict that the development would just be a cliché with no surprises, so I lost interest.”
- “Instead of these anime clearly made for weak men, can’t they produce more decent anime that appeal to the general audience?”

As mentioned earlier, Yapo is an adult artist who mainly draws lolis and shotas. For example, apparently the artwork above, which shows a blonde girl, actually represents a boy (but the previous image is of a girl).
Anyway, Yapo continues arguing with people who like Mushoku Tensei. Honestly, it is quite a curious situation.
