Frieren Ended Up in a Waifu Game for Nintendo Switch

Japanese fans are pointing out that Nintendo’s review system seems to be failing by allowing all kinds of games onto the platform, such as Kawaii Anime: Cute Girls Magic World, which is currently available for pre-order on Nintendo Switch for $10.
There’s technically “nothing” wrong with the game (the girls are quite clearly AI-generated), but the girl on the cover looks almost exactly like Frieren.
Tell me she doesn’t look just like her:

And here’s an image of Frieren for comparison:

Yeah, she looks almost identical to Frieren…
The description of Kawaii Anime: Cute Girls Magic World says it’s a “minigames + unlockable gallery” game centered around cute magical girls.
You play minigames to earn points, and as your score increases, you unlock images and gallery content. The game features several kawaii characters, each with their own personality, reacting to your gameplay by cheering you on or teasing you.
Main features:
- A world of cute magical girls with a pastel, kawaii anime aesthetic
- Skill and reflex-based minigames
- Your score unlocks images in the gallery
- Characters with unique personalities that interact with the player
- Multiple endings based on your performance
- A secret ending unlocked by reaching question 150
- The goal is to unlock every image and discover the hidden ending
That’s basically it. Shall we see how Japanese fans reacted?
- Frieren with big boobs.
- Is this an adult game?
- Are Fern and Aura in it too?
- In this game, Frieren is the only one they copied.
- I can’t believe Nintendo allows something that was so obviously made with AI.
What do you think?
