Man Shot Over Pokémon Cards in Indianapolis After Heated Dispute

Collecting Pokémon cards can be dangerous and has become a business for many unemployed adult men out there, especially in the United States, who camp outside stores waiting for restocks of Pokémon cards to resell them online for triple the price.

You can find several videos of adult men fighting over the cards, running around like crazy just to grab them quickly, and now even someone has been shot because of Pokémon. The shocking case was recorded in Indianapolis, United States.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident was reported around 6:51 p.m. in a parking lot of a Kroger supermarket located on the east side of the city. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was quickly taken to a local hospital in serious but stable condition after undergoing surgery. As of now, the man has not been able to give a formal statement due to his medical condition.

Witnesses interviewed by police reported that the shooting was motivated by a dispute involving Pokémon cards, which drew attention from authorities due to the unusual reason. According to the police captain, although the case appears to involve a dispute between collectors, there is no confirmation of an attempted robbery.

Investigations suggest that the shooting in the Kroger parking lot in Indianapolis may have been targeted, meaning there is currently no active threat to the community. During the investigation, officers seized two firearms that may be linked to the crime.
