LitGirls: Bookbound Dungeons! A Wishlist Success With an 18+ Version on the Way

The RPG LitGirls Bookbound Dungeons caught attention almost immediately after its announcement, surpassing 50,000 wishlists in just three days. Developed by NANAIRO ENTERPRISE and published by DANGEN Entertainment, the game will also get an 18+ version with additional content!
The game combines girls inspired by classic literary characters with dungeon exploration, turn-based strategic battles, and a skill system built around powerful words.
What Is LitGirls Bookbound Dungeons?
LitGirls Bookbound Dungeons is an RPG where characters inspired by figures and works from literature are reimagined as girls who must explore dungeons filled with monsters, traps, and treasure.

Among the characters revealed so far are girls inspired by Alice, Juliet, Dante, and Raven. The idea is to combine these literary references with a fantasy world where players must build a team capable of surviving the dangers lurking in each dungeon.
The adventure is centered around the so-called Astral Library, a base where players can improve the characters’ abilities, upgrade their equipment, and prepare their team for upcoming battles.
LOGOS System Adds Another Layer of Strategy
One of the main mechanics in LitGirls Bookbound Dungeons is the LOGOS system, which revolves around collecting and using powerful words.

These words can be equipped to give characters passive effects or used during battles to potentially turn the tide of a fight.
So simply picking the strongest girls and heading into a dungeon won’t be enough. Players will need to combine different elements to build an effective team:
- Characters and their abilities;
- Equipment to improve the team’s performance;
- Formations and positioning during battles;
- LOGOS Words to gain strategic advantages.
This combination should give the battles more depth, especially for RPG fans who enjoy games where preparing your party is just as important as the decisions you make during combat.
Now Here’s What We Want! ECCHI! Turn-Based Battles Feature a Clothes-Damage System

Combat in LitGirls Bookbound Dungeons takes place in turns, with mechanics that require players to keep an eye on both the characters’ health and mental state.
If a character’s HP reaches zero, she can be left in an extremely dangerous situation if further attacks come in. Meanwhile, a mental breakdown can cause a character to lose the will to continue fighting.
And, of course, there’s also the fanservice element: the game features a clothes-damage system, where the girls’ outfits become damaged during battles:

So I imagine there will be plenty of players who deliberately want to lose just to see what happens to the girls when they get defeated.
LitGirls Bookbound Dungeons Will Have an 18+ Version With More Nudity
Alongside the standard edition planned for Steam, the developers announced an 18+ version of LitGirls Bookbound Dungeons, which will be sold separately for PC and feature additional nudity.
But there’s an interesting detail: players who purchase the Steam version will also be able to receive an update that brings its content in line with the 18+ edition.

So, according to the announcement, players won’t necessarily have to buy two versions of the game to access the additional content.
Actually, this is a pretty common practice. Many games with adult content handle things this way already.
The Developers Have Worked on Another Fanservice Game
NANAIRO ENTERPRISE, the studio behind the game, also worked on Turret Girls, a game where you control cute girls as they shoot their way through hordes of enemies:

With LitGirls Bookbound Dungeons, the studio is once again betting on a game with plenty of fanservice, and I have to say, I’ve always wanted to play Turret Girls, so LitGirls already looks pretty promising to me.
When Will LitGirls Bookbound Dungeons Be Released?
LitGirls Bookbound Dungeons is scheduled to arrive on PC in the first half of 2027, with a release planned for Steam. So far, no console versions have been announced.
The game surpassed 50,000 wishlists in just three days after its reveal, with the ecchi elements helping it get plenty of attention on social media. You can check out its Steam page here.
