AV Actress Kana Yura Responds to Controversy After Going Viral for Her Youthful Appearance

There are some crazy people on Twitter, including those who think fiction is the same as reality and that small adult women cannot exist. On May 30, adult actress Kana Yura posted a video of herself wearing a swimsuit in a pool, and the video reached 15 million views.

After she posted it, Western users saw her tweet and started sharing it. Some wondered how Japan can have such a low birth rate when there are cute girls like Kana Yura. However, others criticized the actress’s appearance, claiming her small body and delicate features could be mistaken for those of a minor.
From there, the discussion escalated into serious accusations against fans who show attraction to this type of body, with some comments calling them “problematic” or using terms like “lolicon.”
If you don’t use Twitter/X much, there is a constant war between those who enjoy lolis in anime content and those who believe it is equivalent to real-life PDF crimes. Well, the actress herself ended up seeing the massive controversy and decided to respond.
Kana Yura response to the online debate
In the middle of the backlash, Kana Yura spoke on a secondary account, explaining her position on the controversy. According to her, although she understands the topic has sparked discussion outside Japan, she is an adult woman and does not see a problem with being viewed in a sexualized way within that context.

The actress emphasized that there are many adult women with small stature around the world and that individual preferences are normal. However, she criticized the idea that people attracted to her body type should automatically be judged or labeled negatively.
Kana Yura’s statement also ended up fueling the debate even further. Part of the public defended her position, stating that physical appearance does not define age and that generalizations about fans are unfair.
Others, however, maintained criticism of the discussion, reinforcing concerns about visual representation and interpretation in international contexts.
Kana Yura is 1.43m tall.
