Hololive VTuber Sorashina Sopia Reveals She Has a PhD

Today, new Hololive VTubers made their debuts, and one of them is already getting a lot of attention for a rather surprising reason. Sorashina Sopia made her debut and, let me tell you… she has a PhD in Science!

During her introduction, Sopia explained that she is an astronaut who wants to find aliens, and she even showed off some very cute English during her stream.

But what really surprised everyone was the new VTuber’s academic background.

During her debut stream, Sopia said she figured many people would be curious about her educational background, so she decided to reveal a little more about her education.

And now comes the surprise!

She has a PhD!

More specifically, these are the qualifications Sopia revealed:

• Doctorate in Science.
• Certification in Applied Information Technology.
• Teaching License to teach Mathematics at the elementary and secondary school levels.
• And the classic driver’s license, restricted to automatic cars.

For a VTuber who just made her debut, that is quite an impressive résumé. But Sopia didn’t stop there. She also showed that she has a very “scientific” sense of humor.

The VTuber Even Showed Real Academic References

At one point during the stream, Sopia presented a slide titled “References” featuring real academic papers published in English.

And what was this rather peculiar study about? The effectiveness of common beverages and milk proteins in relieving the burning sensation in the mouth caused by capsaicin, the compound responsible for the heat in chili peppers.

In other words, even this girl’s humor comes with scientific references. Hehe.

Other VTubers reacted to Sopia’s presentation and were impressed by the new member’s academic background.
