Trying to Win Over a 30-Year-Old Woman in Hatsukoi no Arasaa Make Heroine

A new romance light novel about a “losing heroine” will be released on September 10, and it caught my attention. Would you hit on an older woman? What if she were… 12 years older than you?

At least, that’s what the synopsis of Hatsukoi no Arasaa Make Heroine ga Rabukome Koishou wo Sotsugyou Shite Kurenai suggests. The romance here would be between an 18-year-old guy and a 30-year-old woman!

Hatsukoi no Arasaa Make Heroine follows Ibuki Yamamoto, a student who reunites with his first love, a woman 12 years older than him.

When he was a child, Ibuki saw Katsuki Kirishima as a kind, cheerful, and almost perfect woman. However, now that she is in her 30s, reality is quite different.

After suffering a major heartbreak during high school, Katsuki developed an extremely negative view of romance. She drinks, complains about relationships, and seems to have been deeply affected by her past heartbreak.

Despite appearing to have completely given up on love, Katsuki is secretly trying to change her life. Ibuki ends up discovering a list she created called “A List for Getting Over Heartbreak and Starting Life Again.”

After discovering it, the boy decides to help her move on from her past.

And I’m guessing a romance between him and this woman in her 30s is eventually going to happen! The first volume will only be released on September 10, but I found the premise interesting precisely because it’s a romance story involving an older woman.

The novel is written by Hiroki Iwata. Back in 2006, one of his novels received an anime adaptation: Mamoru-kun ni Megami.
