Bilibili Launches Global Version of Its App With Creator Support
A bilibili global app version has launched, bringing easier sign-ups and access to content distributed internationally. For now, the new version is only available on Android, while the iOS version is expected to launch soon.
According to bilibili’s official X account, the international app was designed to make it easier to access content from different regions while also providing better localization. Another new feature is the ability to create an account without having to submit identity documents
The company also said that it plans to gradually expand the countries where the global version is available. More features and localization improvements are also expected to be added to the app in the future.
Many are seeing the new bilibili app as a potential competitor to YouTube, especially after Google’s platform recently announced that new creators who want to run ads will have to reach twice the previous viewership targets.

bilibili has also created an official Discord server to receive reports about problems, suggestions, and other feedback from users regarding the international version.
The launch is part of the platform’s efforts to expand into other markets. bilibili is a Chinese video platform best known for content related to anime, games, music, Vlogs, and lifestyle.
In addition to allowing users to upload their own videos, the platform has also been investing in AI-powered translation features, making it easier for people from different countries to access content available on the service.
For now, anyone who wants to try the new international version needs an Android device. The iOS version will be released at a later date.
