Japanese Idol Yumepirika Forced to Choose Between Her Career and a Fan

Japanese idol Yumepirika, 20, has issued a public apology after admitting to privately communicating with a fan. The controversy sparked discussion on social media and ended with an ultimatum from the agency behind the group Aisunattsu: permanently cut contact with the fan or give up her idol career.
In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) on October 24, Yumepirika addressed the controversy after screenshots of alleged private conversations began circulating online. The following day, the group’s management confirmed some of the allegations and explained that members are prohibited from privately interacting with fans.
Idol Yumepirika Apologizes After Contacting a Fan

During her public apology, Yumepirika acknowledged that she had broken the agency’s rules and took responsibility for what happened.
The singer said she joined Aisunattsu intending to dedicate herself to her idol career, but admitted that her actions had caused problems for management, her fellow group members, and her fans.
After discussing the situation with the agency, she was given two options: leave the company or permanently cut contact with the fan involved.
Yumepirika chose to continue her career and stated that she had already ended the relationship, deleted the person’s contact information, and stopped all communication.
Agency Orders Nightly Livestreams Through the End of 2026
But the apology wasn’t the end of the story! As part of its efforts to regain the public’s trust, Aisunattsu’s management ordered Yumepirika to livestream every night through the end of 2026.
The livestreams began on October 25, with management presenting the measure as a way to rebuild fans’ trust following the controversy.
Agency Also Threatens Legal Action
Another interesting twist is that the agency has threatened legal action against the person responsible for publishing the private conversations without permission. According to management, releasing the messages violated the privacy of those involved.
Not all the leaked messages were conversations between Yumepirika and the fan, either. The company clarified that some of the LINE messages were actually work-related exchanges between the idol and the agency’s president.
Yumepirika joined Aisunattsu in 2025. The five-member group originally debuted in June 2023.
