In November 2023, accusations began circulating that Chicchi Yukinaga had made offensive comments and committed acts of defamation against Nyan Nyan Factory, the author of the manga Yani Neko, which was also published in Young Magazine.
According to information that went viral online, the conflict was allegedly related to the Next Manga Award 2023. Both works were nominated in the same category, but Yani Neko finished in 12th place, while Satsudou failed to place, which allegedly caused a negative reaction from the author.
