Aka Akasaka Starts TWO New Manga

Since he stopped drawing, Aka Akasaka has been collaborating with illustrators. While he handles the story, his partners do the actual manga artwork.
This was the case with Oshi no Ko, created in partnership with Mengo Yokoyari, and Renai Daikou, where Nishizawa 5mm handled the art. Currently, Aka publishes Marchen Crown, illustrated by Ajichika (who also draws Shuumatsu no Valkyrie).
And now, he has decided to start two more manga series.
Aka Akasaka Starts TWO New Manga
Aka Akasaka teamed up with Shiromanta (who published Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi) to start the manga Karubi Momareru, which is being serialized on Comic Howl Web. The manga is based on the VTuber Akami Karubi and is a comedy.

If you’re confused, there really is a VTuber named Akami Karubi. She is part of Crazy Raccoon, streams on Twitch, debuted in 2021, and this manga features her as the protagonist.

The other manga Aka Akasaka started is also in collaboration with the same VTuber agency, Crazy Raccoon, and is a Battle Royale. The manga is called CRBR – Crazy Raccoon Battle Royale, with the story handled by Aka Akasaka and the VTuber agency Crazy Raccoon.

The story follows a shut-in boy who becomes obsessed with games after losing his older brother in a traffic accident. One night, he receives a mysterious email from the popular e-sports team “Crazy Raccoon,” asking if he wants to risk his life in a Battle Royale.
As you can see, Aka’s two new manga series are collaborations with the VTuber agency Crazy Raccoon, rather than being entirely original works by Aka. It’s likely that he was approached by Crazy Raccoon to work on these projects.
