Massive Hiro Shinosawa Physics Doujin Has 620 Pages
Comiket 108, held on August 15 and 16 at Tokyo Big Sight, once again showed that anime and manga fans can create practically anything. This time, a Hiro Shinosawa physics doujin caught everyone’s attention because of its absurd size.
The doujin was created by the fan circle 500mL and is based on Hiro Shinosawa, a character from THE IDOLM@STER Gakuen Idolmaster. Its title is simply Let Hiro Shinosawa Explain Physics.
And we’re not talking about some thin little doujin that you can easily throw into your backpack.
Hiro Shinosawa Physics Doujin Has 620 Pages
“But I thought it was a doujin!” And yes, it is a doujin. Pretty much any fan-created work, such as manga, games, music, ASMR, and more, can be called a doujin. It doesn’t necessarily have to be an adult manga.
The publication reached its third volume at Comiket 108 and has no less than 620 pages in B5 format.
The most interesting part is that the doujin actually works like a textbook. The work uses Hiro Shinosawa’s personality to explain physics concepts and theories, complete with diagrams and a presentation that looks surprisingly similar to an academic textbook.
The creator also described the third volume as being more accessible to high school students and general readers.

“Bring a Bigger Bag”
The book was so massive that the official 500mL account even warned attendees on X to bring a bigger bag.
Netizens started joking that Hiro Shinosawa, with her rather slender appearance, would probably break her bones trying to carry the book herself.
Others joked that the doujin could be used for a real “physics lesson”: if the reader couldn’t understand the subject, they could just give themselves a light bonk on the head with the 620-page book.
The Stock Weighed Around Two Tons
According to the creator, the stock brought to the event weighed approximately two tons. Yes, you read that right: a physics doujin had enough copies in stock to weigh around 2,000 kg.
And apparently, the fans weren’t scared off by that. By noon on the second day of Comiket 108, the entire stock had sold out.
One social media user even pointed out that the book was comparable in size to an actual university-level quantum mechanics textbook.
This kind of publication is exactly why Comiket is so incredible. Between manga, illustrations, games, and countless other creations, there’s always someone willing to turn an incredibly specific idea into a gigantic project.
