Something incredible has just happened: an adult doujin series called “Hitozukiai ga Nigate na Miboujin no Yukionna-san to Noroi no Yubiwa” will receive a TV anime adaptation. And you might think: “but don’t adult doujins usually just get hentai anime adaptations?”, but in this case it is different!

“Hitozukiai ga Nigate na Miboujin no Yukionna-san to Noroi no Yubiwa” is a doujin series drawn by artist Puuzaki Puuna (yes, a female creator) and it takes place in a world where different species coexist. In it, Takahashi inherits his father’s youkai apartment complex after his death.
One day, he meets Yukino, a yuki-onna (snow woman), and instantly falls in love with her. Although they get along at first, an argument drives the couple apart.
While trying to fix the situation, Takahashi discovers a strange ring inside a mysterious box. According to the item’s description, any desire directed at a youkai within the ring’s field of view can control their mind.
Suspicious, he decides to test the item during another desperate attempt to talk to Yukino and discovers that the ring’s power is real. Now, with this dangerous ability in his hands, he must decide whether to use the ring to restore his relationship with Yukino or to satisfy his darkest desires.
The author has been publishing this series directly as adult doujins since 2021, and it has become so popular that it will now receive a TV anime adaptation — apparently without the original adult content.
The author herself commented that she believes this may be an unprecedented milestone in anime history:
