Vtuber Natsuiro Matsuri Will Stop Collaborating with Men Because of Fans

VTuber Natsuiro Matsuri will no longer collaborate with men in her streams starting at the end of this month. The first generation member of Hololive JP explained the decision in a recent post, making it clear that this is a personal choice and not a rule imposed by the company.
According to the VTuber herself, the main reason is related to her fans, known as Matsurisu. She said that she has always placed her community first and wants to continue creating content in a way that allows fans to follow her career for a long time.

During the announcement, Matsuri explained that the decision did not appear suddenly. Over the past year she had already been significantly reducing her interactions with male streamers. According to her, aside from collaborations related to sponsorships or specific competitions, there have been very few interactions of that type.
The VTuber also mentioned that she had been talking for about a year and a half about gradually decreasing this kind of collaboration. Because of that, many fans who closely follow her content were likely already expecting something like this to happen eventually.

After the announcement, some followers expressed concern that the change might be an internal Hololive policy meant to please part of the audience often referred to as “unicorns”, fans who prefer VTubers not to interact with men. Matsuri directly responded to those comments and clarified that there is no such rule from the company.
According to her, every Hololive member has the freedom to decide how they handle their streams and collaborations. In other words, the fact that Natsuiro Matsuri will stop collaborating with men is simply an individual decision about how she wants to manage her activities going forward.

Another rumor that appeared online suggested that the VTuber might have started a relationship and that her partner did not want her collaborating with men. Matsuri reacted to this speculation humorously, saying she found the theory amusing. She also pointed out that if that were the case, it would not make sense for her to have gradually reduced collaborations since 2025.
Despite the change, Matsuri revealed that she still plans to have one final collaboration with a male creator before officially ending this type of content. She hinted that the guest might surprise many fans.
Matsuri described this possible collaborator as a major figure within the creator scene and said it could be a collaboration fans have been waiting for about seven years. If it happens, she believes it will become a memorable moment in her career as a VTuber.
