Chapter 200 of My First Girlfriend Is a Gal did THAT?
What was Meguru Ueno thinking when he wrote chapter 200 of his manga My First Girlfriend Is a Gal? After reading it, I can’t stop wondering if the author of My First Girlfriend Is a Gal secretly hates his fans.
A bit of context for those who know NOTHING about this manga. My First Girlfriend Is a Gal is a manga that started being published in 2015 and is an ecchi romance story about a shy virgin guy who ends up having to confess to the popular girl in class.
He has to confess to one of the most popular gyarus in school, Yukana, and even though he expects to be rejected, she accepts him and the two start dating! And since 2015, we’ve been following these two evolving as a couple, with plenty of ecchi in the story.
And recently, chapter 200 was released, which continues the night of their “first time,” where Junichi will finally “graduate” by doing it with Yukana—something fans have been waiting for a long time!
The two are in bed and all that’s left is for Junichi to “put it in.” His girlfriend Yukana is just waiting, but he starts thanking her and reminiscing about how long he’s waited for this.
The manga shows several flashbacks of various moments they’ve shared, all the time that’s passed (I read up to a certain point, I don’t even know how much time has gone by since they started dating), and he looks at his girlfriend and she says “come to me.”
She then asks that they call each other by their first names on this very special night. He’s extremely nervous and tries to “score the goal” until he finally PUTS IT IN and starts having all sorts of thoughts about the experience he’s having, until he decides to look down and disappoint all the fans.
He sees that monkeys have invaded the room and that he “put it in an onahole” and not in Yukana…
I wish I was joking, but I’m not. After 200 chapters, after a perfect buildup, the author simply has monkeys invade the room they’re in, and makes the monkeys use an onahole so he doesn’t put it in her… and worse, he “finishes” before he can do anything…
The chapter then ends with Junichi naked chasing the monkeys that “stole his graduation,” and the fans? Devastated. I went to check the reactions to this chapter, and I think I saw everyone talking about how sad and disappointed they are after following this story for so many years and so many chapters, only for the author to troll them like this.
