Do you know the anime Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai? This anime is famous for having a very popular ending theme song. Now, the author of Machine-Doll, Kaitou Reiji, is back with a brand-new light novel titled Misui Doumei (English: The Attempted Alliance).

In Misui Doumei, our protagonist is a high school student with a unique ability: he can see the murderous intent of people. Because of this, he finds himself surrounded by lonely and dangerous girls who might commit crimes in the future.

The main girls are:

  • A cold classmate, nicknamed the “Duchess of the Library.”

  • A self-proclaimed solo camper whose “address” is the park.

  • And finally, an “Ice Queen” isolated in an elite all-girls school.

For certain reasons, the protagonist wants to protect his peaceful everyday life, but he is unwillingly dragged into stopping potential crimes.
