Teacher Debuts in AV and School Finds Out

Today, we bring you the story of a former teacher who decided to enter the adult industry. You might think, “But ex-teachers aren’t unusual, what’s so special about this?” What makes this case unique is that she was discovered and fired from her teaching job!

Teacher Debuts in AV and School Finds Out

Momoka Kawana gave an interview to the website Spa! a few months ago, where she shared the whole story. As an adult actress, she used the stage name Tsukishima Hana.

Momoka Kawana was working as a teacher at a private school and says she felt her salary was too low for the amount of work she had to do.

She earned around 180,000 yen (1,224.00 USD) but hardly had any rest. After classes during the week, she had to supervise clubs, and on weekends, she had school activities to attend. She mentions that her salary increased over time, but she always felt it was too little for all the work she did.

The career change happened when she was walking in the streets of Ikebukuro and was approached with the opportunity to do gravure work. She says she accepted because she was already considering leaving her teaching job.

During interviews, Kawana recalls that casually someone suggested: “How about trying an adult agency?”, “It’s harder for people to find out than with gravure work”, and finally, “You’ll make a lot more money.” She says that convinced her to give it a try.

Kawana debuted as an adult actress in 2015. She explains that the original plan was to film the movie while still keeping her teaching job. Then she would resign, and only afterward would her debut film be released.

However, photos of her debut leaked in an adult magazine with the headline: “The Debut of a Physics Teacher.” She recalls receiving a call from her boss, saying there were magazines on the director’s desk.

The worst part, Kawana says, is that she had been a student at that same school, so everyone treated her almost like a daughter. She recalls the director asking: “Were you tricked? Are you having financial difficulties? We can help you, tell me.” But she had chosen this path herself and explained it to the director. The school’s only option was termination for cause.

She says she doesn’t regret her choice but wished she could have at least said goodbye to her colleagues and students. She didn’t expect the information to leak. Regarding her family, she says she no longer has contact with her mother, who reportedly said: “What a shame! Leave and never come back home.”

Because of her mother’s reaction, Kawana no longer talks to her father or sister, the latter of whom was very upset with her decision to enter the adult industry.

Kawana no longer works as an adult actress. The reason is Japan’s AV law, which made it harder to release new films. She says she lost motivation after the law was passed. Currently, Kawana is battling cancer. She says she doesn’t regret her AV debut and is prepared to face her illness.
