Announced in 2023, the anime adaptation of the romcom light novel Tenkou-saki no Seiso Karen, written by Hibari Yu and Shiso, has finally shared some news. This anime is based on a novel that began publishing online in June 2020, and shortly after, in February 2021, it was released as a light novel under Sneaker Bunko. The anime will air in 2026.
The story follows a boy who, as a child, used to play with his childhood friend in the countryside. Hayato and Haruki were best friends, but one day Hayato had to move away.
Years later, he returns eager to see Haruki again. However, there’s a twist: all this time, Hayato believed Haruki was a boy, but upon reuniting, he discovers that Haruki is actually a beautiful girl.
