Super Sonico Megumin Figure Finally Appears After 3 Years

I waited three years to see this figure! Back in July 2022, a figure of Super Sonico dressed as Megumin from Konosuba was announced, and I found the artwork absolutely stunning. Since then, I’ve been eagerly waiting for the figure to show up.

To be honest, this was the first time I actually “followed” a figure’s development. After the initial announcement, I kept checking for updates… but 2022 passed, 2023 passed, and even 2024 ended — and still, nothing!

At one point, I thought the figure might’ve been canceled—or maybe that kind of delay is normal and I just didn’t know. Just take a look at the original artwork for this figure:

Finally, in September of this year, they finished the figure, and photos of this beauty were revealed. I now present to you: Sonico as Megumin!

The figure is currently available for pre-order at CDJapan for 26,950 yen, and shipments are expected around April next year.

Yes, it’s already sold out! It went fast—or maybe I just took too long to share this amazing piece.

Guess I’ll have to settle for another Sonico figure, like the nurse bikini one, even though it’s not quite as cool as the Megumin version.
