The song Iris Out is the main theme of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, a film that adapts one of the most anticipated arcs of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s work. The success of the song directly helped boost the popularity of Reze’s dance from Chainsaw Man, as the track stood out for its catchy rhythm and strong connection to the movie’s story.

Since its release, Iris Out has been breaking streaming records in Japan, ranking among the most-played songs on platforms such as Spotify and other streaming services. The combination of the soundtrack and the character Reze created a strong emotional appeal among fans, which explains the rapid spread of the video across social media.

The animation of Reze’s dance from Chainsaw Man was produced by studio MAPPA, the same studio responsible for the Chainsaw Man anime adaptation and the Reze Arc movie. The key animation for the character was handled by Akiko Kudo, while the original choreography was created by Bunkei, known for expressive work involving movement and dance.

Other professionals also contributed to the video. Digital painting was done by Matsuri Hoshi, color checking was handled by Naomi Nakano, and the final compositing was completed by Teppei Ito. The care taken at every stage of production helped turn a short video into highly impactful content.

Although X was the main stage for the phenomenon, Reze’s dance from Chainsaw Man also achieved impressive numbers on other platforms. On YouTube, the official video has already surpassed 14 million views. On TikTok, the content has around 1.5 million likes, while on Instagram the number exceeds 1.2 million, with many dance covers circulating online.
