Neymar becomes a Yu-Gi-Oh Card!
Was it on your bingo card that Neymar would become a Yu-Gi-Oh card? During the Tokyo Game Show 2025, Konami announced that the Brazilian star has officially turned into a card of the franchise, appearing in a unique fusion with the legendary Dark Magician.
The reveal was part of a joint campaign with the eFootball game, catching the attention of the audience at Makuhari Messe.

A special trailer released showed Neymar entering the Yu-Gi-Oh universe, in an animation where he fuses with the Dark Magician before unveiling his very own collectible card. Below, you can watch the special video:

During the collaboration livestream, Katayose reminisced about childhood matches: “When someone used an Exodia deck, it was impossible to compete,” he joked. Hagiwara laughed about the scene where Neymar “steals cards” in the video, emphasizing the lighthearted tone of the reveal. Both highlighted how unexpected and fun this crossover is.
Since 1999, Yu-Gi-Oh has maintained worldwide popularity, expanding through anime, video games, and collectibles. The partnership between Neymar Yu-Gi-Oh and eFootball shows Konami’s strategy to connect the franchise with new audiences and keep the legacy alive across generations.
Of course, collectors are already dreaming of having Neymar’s Yu-Gi-Oh card (maybe even to resell at crazy prices). It remains to be seen whether the limited edition will be available worldwide or only in Japan.
