Netflix Brazil Says Goku Is the Strongest and Japanese Fans React

Here’s something I never imagined I would see: Netflix BRAZIL’s official profile made a post simply aiming to interact with its fans, but it ended up reaching other countries and being commented on by foreign fans — and even JAPANESE fans.
The post was made on January 30 and simply said: “Goku is by far the strongest character in anime. Anyone who disagrees is clueless.” The post reached 1.5 million views.

Among reactions from Brazilian users, many pointed out that Goku isn’t even the strongest character in his own series… but what really caught my attention was what Japanese fans had to say after seeing the post — and how it even reached them in the first place.
So, let’s take a look at the Japanese reactions:
“So why did he die?”
“Doraemon.”
“It’s Zeno-sama, right?”
“He’s not even the strongest within his own story.”
“He’s not even the strongest in the Dragon Ball universe.”
“Neither the Dragon Ball manga nor anime end with Goku being the strongest.”
“It’s either Goku or Arale-chan.”
“Saitama can’t beat Arale-chan.”
“You can kill him with the Death Note.”
“Didn’t he get one-shot by a gut punch from Black Frieza?”
“After that, everything is just fanfiction without Toriyama, so it doesn’t count.”

“Here comes the Dragon Ball PhD, lol.”
“Up to the Cell or Majin Buu arcs, you could win easily just by bringing Arale from Penguin Village.”
“If even Master Roshi can destroy the Moon, that would be pointless.”
“Destroying the Earth is way crazier than destroying the Moon.”
“Gojo Satoru: ‘Here, Infinite Void 😎🤞’”
“Super Saiyan 3 or final Gohan — which one is stronger?”
“But he can’t survive in outer space, right?”
“There was that web novel author who said on Twitter that his character could beat Goku and got canceled.”
“Can he deal with Joe’s Cross Counter?”
“Goku alone can’t even beat Majin Buu.”
“He can’t beat Toriko either.”
“Are you guys still stuck on the ‘strongest character I made up’ thing?”
“Goku can’t even beat Gojo from Jujutsu, right?”
“With instant transmission, maybe there’s a chance.”
“If he can break the wall of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, then maybe.”
“If he were summoned in Fate, he’d be insanely strong.”
“But ancient legends already had absurd power inflation battles, worse than Dragon Ball.”
“Gojo looks stronger.”

“Kids these days can’t handle it if the protagonist isn’t always overpowered.”
“In South America, gyms probably play Dragon Ball on TV all day long.”
“But if it’s Netflix, why choose Goku instead of Baki, which is exclusive?”
“Even before the internet, Japanese anime was constantly broadcast on TV in developing countries.”
“Foreigners like stirring up rivalries more than Japanese fans.”
“And Accelerator doesn’t even get mentioned anymore.”
“But he can’t beat heart disease, right…”
“Rimuru is stronger.”
“That pre-Super movie era where Goku was treated like a generic overpowered web novel protagonist was a stain on Dragon Ball.”
“He’s constantly licking Beerus and Zeno’s boots — just a pathetic monkey.”
“Raditz: mutual death”
“Vegeta: draw”
“Frieza: victory after losing his best friend”
“Cell: loss”
“Buu: loses everything”
“He doesn’t actually win that much.”
“Gojo is weak by definition.”
“Nice one, Sukuna.”
“He dies to a virus, so biological weapons would kill Goku easily.”
Looks like people are childish no matter the country.
