Japanese Novelist Uses ChatGPT to Improve Novel Writing Quality

Some time ago, we published here about a case involving a novel written by AI that ended up winning a novel contest, receiving prize money and even earning a physical release. However, everything was later canceled after it was discovered that the work had been created by AI.
However, AI can also be used to help authors write novels in a very intelligent way. Japanese novelist Tsugunobu Shinomiya shared his latest technique for improving his writing using ChatGPT.

The method works like this: you write your novel and then use AI to generate images based on the written text, allowing the author to verify whether their descriptions are clear enough. If the generated image does not match what the author imagined, it means the description in the text is not detailed enough.
According to him, this method using ChatGPT to validate novel quality allows writers to quickly identify weak points in their writing. For example, if the author imagined a character with long black hair wearing a school uniform, but the AI generates someone with a completely different appearance, it indicates that important details were missing in the narrative.
Below is an example he shared. On the right side, we see the character as the author imagined and attempted to describe in the novel, while on the left side we see the exact same character as interpreted by ChatGPT after analyzing his text.

Some creators stated that they already use similar techniques. For beginner authors, this approach can be especially helpful, since they do not always have someone available to review their texts and provide feedback.
However, some people have also raised concerns about using this technology, especially regarding privacy and the risk of their texts being used to train artificial intelligence models. Even so, many believe the benefits outweigh the risks, especially as a learning and improvement tool.
