Japanese Seem to Love Voice Actress Hime Sawada

In 2023, in the anime The White Saint and the Black Duke, the new voice actress Hime Sawada debuted, lending her voice to the story’s heroine, Cecilia. Since then, she has voiced more and more characters—not all main roles, but that doesn’t take away from her charm.

For some reason, Japanese fans really like Hime Sawada, and I can’t pinpoint exactly why. To be more specific, I usually research a lot to find interesting topics to publish here, and for some reason I always see Japanese people commenting about Hime Sawada. So today, I decided to make this post about her.

As I mentioned, she doesn’t have many roles; in terms of anime, she has participated in eight. In the current Winter 2026 season, she voices the character Iwaizuki Nadeshiko in Shunkashuutou Daikousha: Haru no Mai (by the same author of Violet Evergarden).
