Throughout the entire history of Dragon Ball, Goku has been praised by fans around the world as the most powerful fighter of all time in anime and manga.
Goku has faced opponents capable of destroying not only the Earth but the entire universe, which helped fans gain confidence and “win” debates against supporters of other powerful manga characters. This is also reinforced by the fact that Goku has literally made the Earth tremble with some of his transformations.
But after all, how many fights did Goku win throughout Dragon Ball? Recently, Goku won a poll as the most popular character in Dragon Ball.
To celebrate Goku’s victory as the fans’ favorite, the franchise’s official website revealed some statistical data about his battle history, showing that Goku won only 76 fights throughout the series, with a significant gap during the Android Saga

According to data released by the official Dragon Ball website, Goku participated in a total of 117 fights throughout the series. Out of those, Goku won 76, lost 16, and 25 ended without a clear winner or a properly defined outcome.
All these numbers give Goku a win rate of 65%, which probably does not match what many fans expected. Goku is completely obsessed with fighting, and wins or losses are not that important to him. Still, this is likely a win rate that fans did not imagine.
It is interesting to note that Goku did not achieve a single victory during the Android Saga. After defeating Frieza on Namek, Goku did not win another fight until he defeated Yakon in the Majin Buu Saga.

The franchise’s website did not count the Father-Son Kamehameha as a victory, likely because Gohan assisted in the energy attack during the Cell Saga.
It is worth remembering that even though Goku’s win rate is not particularly impressive, he is neither a loser nor weak, considering that the Saiyan warrior race grows stronger every time they fight or experience defeat.
In addition, Goku is remembered far more for his victories than his losses, which reinforces his impact as one of the main pillars of Dragon Ball and a true pop culture icon. In the end, how many fights Goku won throughout Dragon Ball does not really matter.
