Remember the Bocchi the Rock! case? The anime’s scriptwriter said in an interview that she requested all ecchi elements be removed and, with the creator’s approval, even reduced Bocchi’s bust size.

That’s a huge contrast to Mahoutsukai Reimeiki author Kakeru Kobashiri, who stated in a 2022 interview that she asked the anime team to give Holt a “big butt,” making it clear she designed the character with every “ideal feminine feature.”

Speaking with Mipon, Kobashiri explained that she personally decided on Holt’s physical traits:

“I decided almost everything. For Holt, I wanted her to embody all the ideal feminine charms: large breasts, wide hips, a gentle smile, and a cheerful personality. I also imagined a darker side to her.”

When asked if she gave any special instructions for the adaptation, Kobashiri said:

“I made it very clear to Iwasaki-sensei (illustrator), Tatsuwo-sensei, and the anime’s character designer: make Holt’s butt and thighs big. I told them, ‘Remember, she has a big butt!’ (laughs).”

Holt’s striking figure wasn’t an accident—it was a deliberate request from her creator.
