Japanese VTuber Amakusa Miro amazed fans by showing how using one part of the body for a long time can reshape it. After five years playing exclusively with her feet, Miro revealed on X that she developed what looks like a “second ankle” on the outer part of her left foot.

Although anatomically it is just a very well-developed muscle, its size and shape reflect the extraordinary effort and practice required to reach her level of skill.

Miro explained that her left foot underwent these changes. She often keeps it flexed upward while controlling movement and navigation using the left analog stick and directional buttons on her Switch controller.

Her right foot is mainly used to press the face buttons and occasionally move the camera with the right analog stick. This constant position effectively trained a unique muscle over time, giving the appearance of an extra ankle.

Known for her gaming achievements, Miro focuses mainly on multiplayer titles like Splatoon, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Mario Kart World. Among her feats, she reached Rank X in Splatoon 2—the highest rank possible—and defeated a High Rank Arkveld in Monster Hunter Wilds solo in under three minutes.

The recently discovered muscle has been humorously named the “Amakusa muscle” by Miro herself, who even joked that companies wanting to place logos on her feet are welcome to contact her.

Fans on X reacted in amazement, highlighting both the human body’s adaptability and curiosity about how much better Miro would perform if she used her hands—according to her, it would add roughly 450 extra experience points in a ranked Splatoon match.
