Ex-Vtuber makes her AV debut!
The Japanese AV industry is always looking for ways to surprise fans, releasing films with actresses or themes that grab attention more and more. This time, they went for an ex-Vtuber who decided to make her debut in AV.
We’ve already reported on several unusual JAVs here. For example, there was a former child actress who debuted in AV, another actress revealed she was married but her husband didn’t know about her job, and of course, there have been plenty of cases of ex-idols entering the industry. We even had AVs being made using AI!
And now, the newest case is an AV featuring an ex-Vtuber.

So, what do we know about this movie? The actress’s name is Imada Hikari, and this is her debut work. It’s being promoted that she is a “Vtuber with over 500,000 subscribers,” and the cover even encourages fans to figure out which Vtuber she was.
You’ll notice a small picture of a Vtuber on the corner of the cover, but the text clearly states that it’s just for illustration purposes. While browsing some Japanese forums, I found threads where people were trying to discover which Vtuber Imada Hikari used to be.
From the comments I read, some users were asking for her to be identified, but as of the time of writing this post, and based on the places I checked, nobody has been able to uncover her true Vtuber identity.
Imada Hikari already has an official Twitter profile, created back in March this year specifically for her AV debut, where she has been sharing plenty of photos of herself.
Some fans online commented that it feels strange for a Vtuber with half a million subscribers to suddenly give up her YouTube career to appear in AV.
Well, the AV industry isn’t exactly known for being honest, so this whole “ex-Vtuber with over 500,000 subscribers” story could easily just be marketing. But it could also be true — and we’ll only know for sure once internet detectives dig deeper and uncover her past identity.
