Fan Theorizes Chainsaw Man Manga Didn’t End Because of an Exclamation!

Chainsaw Man ended in a way that left many fans frustrated, sad, and confused about what Fujimoto did to them. But yes, it was all a bad dream and many characters came back to life.
Browsing the Chainsaw Man subreddit, I found a very interesting post from a user who believes the manga didn’t actually end because of one detail!
Fan Theorizes Chainsaw Man Manga Didn’t End Because of an Exclamation!
In a Reddit post published 2 days ago, the topic is titled: “I might be going crazy, but I think I got PROOF we got a fake ending.”

According to this fan, the biggest proof that we had a fake ending is on the last page, specifically in the “The End,” because it has an exclamation mark: “The End!”.
The fan says: “When I first read the ending, it felt kind of weird. Why add an exclamation mark if the ending was supposed to conclude the story?” After that, he researched and saw that Fujimoto’s other manga always end with “The End” without an exclamation mark.

He also notes that we only see exclamation marks when the story is going to continue… The post has gathered over 400 comments! Here are some:
- I think Fujimoto was just eager to finish this.
- Please, don’t give me hope.
- You’re going crazy.
- He’s crazy, but he’s right.
- It’s funny how the idea of “popular series purposely creating a fake bad ending and then releasing the real one” never happened, but it’s such a popular theory among fans.
- Ishida Sui ended the original Tokyo Ghoul without warning, from one chapter to the next. And then, a month later, the surprise sequel began.
- This subreddit has become a living example of the 5 stages of grief.
- Average Chainsaw Man fan when there’s punctuation.
- There will never be a part 3.
- Never expected so much from punctuation.
- It only ends when we are sure it ends.
I found this so funny that I had to post it here!
