30-Year-Old Man Arrested for Filming 19-Year-Old Coworker at Kobeya

Japanese police arrested Yusuke Toda, a 30-year-old man who tried to spy on his female coworkers! Here’s the story: there’s a bakery chain in Japan called Kobeya, where the girls wear an extremely cute uniform (which, apparently, attracts unwanted attention from men).

Yusuke Toda got a part-time job at the Takadanobaba branch of Kobeya. Between February 8 and 15 of this year, he installed a hidden camera in the changing area where employees switched clothes, aiming to record his coworkers.

More specifically, he targeted a 19-year-old colleague — and he succeeded. He managed to record at least 4 videos of her. When questioned by the police, he admitted his crime, saying:

“I wanted to see women changing clothes, something I normally can’t see. I wanted to experience that thrill.”

Upon his arrest, police discovered that Yusuke had been secretly filming women for at least three years. They seized an SD card containing about 40 videos of 15 different women, all changing clothes.

Kobeya is a bakery chain where the staff wears an extremely cute uniform, and they are partly known because of this outfit.

In a public statement, Kobeya said: “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused. We will do everything possible to prevent this from happening again.”

The Kobeya uniform is so popular that you can even find fanart of characters wearing it.
