Female Manager Forced Employees to Worship a Subordinate’s Grotch

I always say this: real life has situations far less “realistic” than games and manga. Read the case below and never again think what you see in anime and manga is unrealistic (something like this that I honestly doubted).
According to information released by the Niigata Prefectural Government, a manager in her 50s, who works in the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports, was ONLY formally reprimanded after an incident that occurred at a social event last year.
The gathering took place in July and brought together around 30 employees from different sectors of the department. The initial idea was just a relaxed moment to ease the summer heat, something common in Japanese corporate environments. However, what was supposed to be a friendly gathering turned into a bizarre case of harassment.

During the entertainment portion of the event, the manager was dressed as Myaku-Myaku, the official mascot of the Osaka-Kansai Expo. That’s when the situation got out of control. According to reports, she made a subordinate wear a costume with bells and ropes and then encouraged other employees present to perform an embarrassing act, asking them to “worship” the colleague’s grotch area.
Although some participants showed discomfort, they eventually gave in to the pressure from their superior and proceeded to “worship” the colleague’s grotch.
After the investigation, on March 31, the manager received an administrative punishment. Additionally, the head of the Department of Tourism and Sports, who was also present at the event, received a severe warning for failure in supervision.
