Official Adultery Chapter 1 Released

The first chapter of the new infidelity-themed manga Official Adultery has been released in Young Magazine. Written by Nikumaru, the story presents a provocative concept that really makes you think: what if netorare became mandatory by government order?
Previously, we only had a promotional image and a short synopsis. Now, with Chapter 1 of Official Adultery available, we finally understand what the story is about.
The main couple is introduced early on. He is 29 years old, she is 30, and they have been married for seven years without having children. It seems they have been trying but have not succeeded.

One day, while the couple is out together, they are approached by what appear to be government officials. The officials treat them politely at first, but then restrain them to chairs.

They explain that adultery has now become mandatory for couples who have been together for more than six years and have no children. The policy is supposedly designed to combat Japan’s declining birth rate. As part of this program, the protagonist’s wife must live temporarily with another man, while he must spend time living with another woman.
The twist? The woman selected by the government to live with him is a coworker who already dislikes him.

And that is how Official Adultery begins.
Now we’ll have to see where this story goes.
